Sorry I got carried away a little bit yesterday about the CT shooting, but like everybody else, it was a disgusting and tragic event. As more facts become available, we are learning that the shooter may have had a mental health problem and, as I said yesterday, health services is one area where I think we need to make some changes. Enough said about that.
They are not only caught up on orders at Josie's shop, but they let everybody go at 1:30 yesterday. It was a pleasant surprise for us, but she will be back to work again today at her normal time. It appears that they are pleased enough with her work that they are trying to find ways to get more hours for her while she is here in Surprise. Our plan was initially not to stay until Mother's Day since we couldn't justify paying another 6 weeks rent past the first of April in exchange for one week's pay in May. They are trying to get the OK to offer her 3 weeks of work around Mother's Day if she will stay. We'll see what happens with that. The other problem is that we wanted to go to WA before starting work in Wyoming in late May, and by staying over, we would not have the time for that side trip.
It looks like the rain is finally over. We had another .20" yesterday but the sky is clear today. It went to only 54 degrees yesterday with a low this morning of 41. That's pretty cold for here even at this time of the year. The temperatures are forecast to climb which is good news.
We've been watching a lot of Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel the last couple weeks. All of the scheduled movies we see in the programing are movies we've already seen. Now we just need to surf the stations for more, and different movies. It's almost time for the old standbys - Rudolph, Grinch, Miracle on 34th St, It's a Wonderful Life, etc. - they never get too old to watch. Eight more days to go before Santa arrives...
