Aching Muscles

Contrary to the loading process in Vista on Thursday, it was just Josie and I that had to complete the move. We got an early start (for us) at 9:30 yesterday. We picked up a latte and a few donuts on the way from the local Duncan Donuts shop so we could make sure we had enough energy to complete this job.

The truck unloading wasn't so bad and we had that all completed by shortly after 11:00 AM. Our new space at the storage facility is a 10 x 20 space that doubles the size of the old space of 10 x 10. We wanted to make sure there was plenty of room for everything and we are happy that we went with the larger space. Below is a shot of our new space - taken during an early break:

and another photo, looking down the hall at our old (open) space which shows that we didn't have that far to go to move all of the old stuff to our new location:

It was a long day that didn't end until nearly 4:30 PM. We were physically exhausted by the time we finished but are relieved that this big project is finally over. All that remained was to return the truck to the U-Haul store down the street and to call it a day.

When we arrived back home there was a door tag on our fifth wheel from FedEx. They attempted to deliver my new computer while we were at the storage facility. It was a surprise because the tracking information I saw in the AM before leaving indicated that it wouldn't be delivered until Monday. The computer arrived at the Phoenix location yesterday morning, very early, and they were able to put it on the truck for delivery yesterday. Anyway, rather than wait for a second attempt to deliver on Monday, I will go to the FedEx location and pick it up myself today. That way, I'm sure not to miss another delivery attempt if I have to leave the rig for any reason on Monday.

We don't have a lot of the details yet, but our twin grandsons' football team has won the National Championship in FL. They went undefeated in their bracket to win the title - what an outstanding achievement. We are certainly proud of the achievements of our grandsons on the football field this year. We'll provide more details as we get them.

I'm hoping that our aching muscles from yesterday feel better by the end of the day today. Whatever we do, it will be in slow motion...
