Schedules

Most of the day yesterday was spent planning for the Spring Training games and our trip north to WA in April. There are 27 games to be played at the Surprise Stadium beginning on February 23 and ending on March 29. There are 8 days with no games during that period which represent our days off. We are looking forward to, and are anxious to have our meeting with the GM following Christmas. Except for cleaning toilets, we would be open to most any jobs for those games.

The trip north to WA in April is a different story. That is the month when the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is held and we certainly want to spend time in La Conner for that. Kristine lives in Spanaway, and Tracy is living near Olympia, so we need to coordinate where and when we stay. There is only one Thousand Trails park in the area where they live which is about 60 miles from them in Chehalis, WA. There is another park in La Conner where we have stayed many times in the past and will stay again during whatever time we spend in the Skagit Valley. The problem is complicated by the fact that nobody knows when the best time in April will be for the tulips to be in peak bloom. Whatever we decide, we would like to spend as much time as we can with our family, so I'm sure we can work it out. The reservations for La Conner need to be made soon, as that is a busy time for that area.

Josie spent a nearly full day at work yesterday and can see the orders beginning to pile up for the weekend. The business is still way off from the holidays of old before the downturn in the economy. It is not a good time to own a flower shop. It appears that I may be recruited to help with deliveries - at least on Friday. My area for deliveries would most likely be Surprise, so that shouldn't be too bad.

We are waiting for the nice weather to return. We had more rain last night and the temps are still down. Yesterday we had a high of 62 and a low of 40 and .10" of rain with some winds - up to 20 MPH. The forecast looks good, so we'll just hang in there and be patient for the nice, warm days ahead...
