Ramblings...

As expected yesterday, it rained all morning and cleared somewhat in the afternoon. It still was cool most of the day with a high of 80 late in the afternoon. My appointment with the Dermatologist was ho-hum as he diagnosed the growths on my back as normal and benign. He had his nursing assistants remove them and I was on my way in about a half hour. We stopped at a grocery store on the way home and stocked up on some stuff and that was it for the day.

We have decided to go to Big Pine Key for our next workamping stint. The length of time is open-ended although they would like us to stay well into fall and winter, if possible. We'll have to see how it goes as it will be a totally new experience in an unknown area. They would like us to come down as soon as possible which is also a plus. I will have to leave my job here early in order to get there sometime in the middle of March, which is what we are shooting for. With the limited number of hours I have been getting it makes sense for both of us to be working for better pay and longer hours, as soon as we can. I plan to go into the Casting Center, probably tomorrow, to discuss this early departure with them. I don't want to burn any bridges here as I enjoy working for the company and want to keep the door open for a possible transfer to Disneyland in LA for next year. I'm told that is a possibility by people that have many years experience with the company.

We have been following a blog of some people for years that are in Key Largo with some friends and we have gotten a lot of input on what to do, where to go, and generally, the lifestyle in the Keys. They have been to all of the Keys while there the last 3 weeks, and it seems that the area we are going to in Big Pine, is one of the desired areas. That made the decision to go there much easier. We were looking for unusual, and we think we've found it.

Today we will take the Jeep to a recommended repair facility in Kissimmee to have the noise diagnosed and fixed. It has been getting worse the last couple months and we are hoping it's not a serious problem. This starts the "let's fix the Jeep and keep it awhile" phase. It also needs new brakes on the rear and will need new tires all around very soon. It still beats a car payment that we don't want or need at this point in our travels. It still runs great otherwise We'll see...
