Two days straight of nearly 10 hours on the job was something we haven't done in a while. We welcomed the start of our two day weekend at about 6PM last night. We had a record number of dumps for the two days, Monday and Tuesday, and finished with a total of 103. It just amazes us that so many people stay in the forest in their rigs.
There a lot of hunters that have moved into the forest to do some scouting before the opening of elk archery season on the 11th of September. Many have come into the resort to ask us for recommendations on places to look for elk. As a result, we have sold many maps of the Coconino Forest which is the map we use all the time to locate the trails.
Today will be a laid back day with a possible trip to Payson so Josie can pick up a prescription she had phoned in to Wal Mart. The day of rest will be welcomed. It is difficult to post entries when the days are filled with work. Now that everybody is gone, our schedules will be this way for the rest of our stay here. These two days will give us an opportunity to contact several more locations for winter work. We'll report those as they occur. That's about it for now...
