We both slept in yesterday and spent the whole day around the fifth wheel. Josie did some laundry in the afternoon, but other than that, we just watched it rain. The rain wasn't heavy (.04") but was like a drizzle most of the afternoon. Our temperature range was 73 and 49 for the day. It would have definitely been warmer if we had more sun in the afternoon, but we enjoyed the day anyway.
We watched as a company set up a refrigerated trailer and a camper across the street in front of our storage area. This will be the meat processing area for the hunters beginning tomorrow. The forest is loaded with archery hunters and we would expect to see a lot of activity at that trailer.
Today is another "sleep-in" day but we do have activities planned. We need to go into Payson to pick up a prescription for Josie and then we thought we would go to Cottonwood to the Costco there. We haven't been to a Costco since about early June. There is a Sam's Club in Flagstaff though that we have been to many times, and they aren't that different actually. Oh, and the Cliff Castle Casino is near Cottonwood. Gee, I guess we have to stop there to see if any changes have been made.
We will be taking the truck on our trip today. We've only put about 400 miles on it since we arrived and have put zero fuel in it since May. The truck is supposed to last a lifetime, and it definitely will at this rate. It has 11,000 total miles on it and we have owned it for almost 2 years (October). Of course, much of the time we have owned it the Diesel prices were hovering around $4 per gallon and getting only about 12 miles per gallon doesn't encourage local use. The prices are way down now, but the Jeep is a better option for our local travel.
The day has started bright and sunny, so we hope our second day off is a nice one...
