Truck Update

I didn't hear anything about the progress with the truck by noon yesterday, so I phoned the service department at Peoria Ford for an update. I was holding my breath anticipating bad news but the news was good. They expected to wrap up the repairs last night and have everything tested and OK'd by mid-morning today. It's going to be an interesting experience when I get the final bill for our share of the job. Plus, they made some commitments to us regarding the rental vehicle which will also be turned over to them this morning. Josie isn't too happy about that, as she likes the car.

I drove Josie to work yesterday for a couple reasons. There was an outside chance - actually, remote chance - that the truck would be ready to pick up yesterday, but the main reason was that she was working long hours and doesn't like to drive at night. She did work until after 7 PM, so it was good that I picked her up following work.

It will be the final round today for her, and it's hard to guess how long her day will be. There were still some orders that needed to be done for today, so it will be busy on this Valentine's Day - at least this morning. She will be wrapping up her long hours for the Valentine's rush today and will have tomorrow and Sunday to recuperate.

Our taxes may be completed this weekend after I get the final documents out of the truck on the expenses we had in 2013. Everything else is entered on the tax return except for vehicle and travel expenses, so it shouldn't take that long.
