First of all, there is still no word on Tracy's whereabouts. I will not make any more reference to this situation until we have some news to report.
The main activity for me yesterday was to complete the taxes for 2013. That job is done, thank goodness, and we will get a small refund. That's always the targeted result.
The weather is still the main story here right now, as we had another day of 80 + temperatures. That is now six straight days in the 80's, and still no precipitation in the last 60 days. It's incredible that so much of the Midwest and East are suffering through record cold and snowy weather. We know that Patty is ready for spring.
I mentioned that the warm temperatures are bringing out some early wildflowers. While taking my bike ride yesterday, I took a few more pictures of these. The first one is the Desert Globemallow that I first showed a couple weeks ago when they started to bloom. This shot is one which shows them lined all along the service road that runs behind our campground:
This next one is of a group of showy Crownbeard flowers:
and finally, this shot of one of the Creosote bushes that are beginning to bloom all over:
Along with all this early blooming of wildflowers, we heard that this year could be one of the worst for wildfires which we suspected would be the case. Unless we get some rain soon, we will have fire danger all summer long.
Josie has her late-start day today and will work from 11 -5. The business has slowed, as expected, since Valentine's Day which seemed to be a very good one for the company. We are close to our first real day of working the baseball games with our scheduled training this Friday and Saturday. We get paid for those days which makes it worthwhile.
We are still getting inquiries for workamping opportunities, but so far, we haven't been excited about any to the extent we will give up our Jackson, WY ties. That will take something really "special"...
