Food Handler Certificates

The main thrust for yesterday was to complete the on-line course for the Food Handler's Certificate that is required for our jobs at Spring Training. We had already taken the local class at our last training session and passed that test. The course that we took yesterday was almost identical to the one we took in Vista, CA last year so it was relatively easy for us. We completed the course in about an hour and a half (each) and took the exam. We both passed and we printed out the certificates which we need to take to one of the Maricopa County offices to receive our cards. In the meantime, the certificates show we are qualified to work in the concessions.

Josie also went to get a haircut and the rest of the day was spent on our projects at home. We did grill a couple burgers for dinner and that was our day yesterday. With temperatures finally reaching 80 degrees during the day, it will be nice to be outside and enjoying some of the sunshine when we begin working at the stadium.

There is a hands on training class today at 2 PM which will give us the tools we need to begin the work at the first game on the 22nd. It should be an interesting day today...
