No Surprises

There weren't any surprises about the election results when we got up yesterday and watched the news. We're glad we went to bed early and missed Obama's speech. The numbers we saw on the news were staggering. We saw that 93% of the blacks in the US voted for Obama, and 73% of the Latinos voted for him. Duh! It was a racial vote regardless of what any black says. I mean, even when a staunch Republican like Colin Powell votes for him - twice - tells you that the vote is along racial lines. If the 30% of the whites that voted for Obama had voted along racial lines he wouldn't have won even the first term. It's a shame that the people impacted the most by his non-performance put him back in office again. Four more years of the same.

While waiting on a couple deliveries yesterday, I was able to get just about everything organized in my new files:

We can once again see the top of our table and can finally use the second chair for something beside holding papers. It is especially important in a small living area like the fifth wheel to keep the clutter to a minimum. It feels good anyway to have a nice and neat home.

We got our cartridges delivered yesterday for our water filter. We had placed the last one in the container during the water pump replacement activity. We also received our toaster oven that we ordered online at a great price ($69)- the Cuisinart TOB 40. We got free delivery and paid no sales tax. That nice benefit - no sales tax - will probably soon go away from online purchases as the states are losing lots of revenue.

No deliveries are expected today so there is a good possibility we will get out to do something. We always do our workout in the AM, so the day is pretty much open for some other activity...
