Our 2nd day of the the two longest days of the week is over. It was another near marathon day as we worked from 7 AM til 9 PM again yesterday. The day didn't seem near as long as the hours indicated though as we do the pour service (for tea and coffee) at each meal and get to enjoy each meal for about 1 1/2 hours. That's over 4 hours a day taken out in the dining room and makes for a nice break 3 times a day.
It was a day that was heavy with sales activity for me (with Charlie) and heavy operations training for Josie (with Terri). We both are getting into the flow of our assignments and so far are enjoying the ride. We had an ecall near the end of the day which turned out to be a false alarm when a lady accidentally pulled the emergency cord in her apartment. It was a good drill for us, even though it wasn't a real emergency.
The other couple comes back from their 2 days off today so it will be interesting to see how we all function together in our office. They don't come on until 11 AM, so there won't be much overlap in our day. We get off work at 3 PM today and it will be nice to do some more work in organizing our apartment. We haven't done any more work on the apartment since Saturday and there are still a few boxes that need to be emptied and some items that need to be put away.
Another objective for us with some extra time this afternoon is to catch up on assignments that are carryovers from our training class. There are some lessons that need too be completed in the first 7 days of employment at the Community and we haven't had a chance to do any of that yet. There hasn't been a dull moment yet...
