All Day Role Playing

As expected, the entire day was spent in the Community doing role play exercises. One of the most important aspects of the sales cycle is to conduct tours of the Community and establish rapport with the prospective residents. We each had to play different roles in these situations and the experience was  a good one for handling objections by these prospective residents.

The class ended with a review of the exam which is scheduled today, and an invitation to go to dinner at a restaurant in town called the "Flat Tail Brewery". Our instructor, Mary, and her assistant for the class, Cyndie, paid for our dinner with the exception of any drinks we had. It was a great meal and a great time, and even though it was rather dark in the place, we were able to get these shots of the good time. The first one is of our instructor, Mary, going over the menu with one of our classmates, Rey, and Cyndie next to him:

Following our dinner we returned to the hotel and prepared for the open book exam which is today. It's down to crunch time now at the class and it looks like we will survive the 2 week marathon.

We received pictures of our apartment which still has a little bit of furniture left in it from the previous managers and we were asked if we wanted any for our use. The only thing we asked to be left for us is a nice looking recliner. The rest will be provided by us when we arrive.

We're leaving early for class now so that we can stop at Safeway to get some cold medicine for Josie who is suffering with her first cold of the year. Two days to go...
