With the eclipse coming tomorrow, there is a very good chance that we will have enough clearing that we will get a full view of the event. There are some scattered clouds this morning, and it is expected to stay this way through the next 24 hours. The eclipse will begin at around 10:15 AM, become "total" between 11:34 and 11:37, and end at 1:PM. We will try to get some photos of the occasion, but there have been lots of warnings about looking at the sun and taking pictures. We will try to use our glasses for any photo activity. The information I have says that the glasses are not required during the totality phase.
Traffic was not so bad yesterday until late in the afternoon. It seems that, so far, the projections have been overstated. In fact, there were hardly any vehicles on the road yesterday AM when we went to work. By the time we got off at 4:15, the traffic became fairly heavy. We went to the grocery store following work and that was not a bad experience either. The store was well stocked and there were not more than the usual number of people there doing their shopping.
We will see if there is any change today - the day before the eclipse...
