The morning, at least, was clear and a bit cool and nice enough to take a drive to a location we had not been to before. It is the Grand Targhee Resort which is located near Driggs, ID and is on the back side of the Grand Teton Mountains. It is in Wyoming, but the only way to get there is from Driggs, ID which is about 40 miles from Jackson. We timed it right, as we arrived around noon and enjoyed the sights of this wonderful ski resort. Here are a few shots of the resort:
We always liked the town of Driggs but never had taken the road to the Resort before. Glad we did.
The afternoon became windy and the rains came. There were some pretty strong thunderstorms that hit us and we were glad that we made it home before the skies opened. The recent weather pattern has been for storms in the afternoons of almost every day during the last week. We hope this all ends before the eclipse which is on Monday, August 21.
It's back to work today for the start - or the renewal - of our five day work week. The Visitor Center has started advertising for help to make up for the loss of two of our newer employees and the loss of the another that will occur in September. We are getting prepared for the final push to the finish line in September...
