One of the things we had to do yesterday was make a trip to the grocery store to get our supply of food to last us through the eclipse on Monday. We noticed a huge increase already in the number of folks coming into town for the big event. The grocery store was out of many items and the crowd in the store was unbelievable. All of the checkout stations had cashiers and the lines were still very long. I think we will stay as close to home as possible for the next five days and let things develop.
We are back to work today and have no time off until after the big day of the eclipse on Monday. We expect the Visitor Center to be near madness over the next several days and we are not looking forward to that. Of course, we have no choice, so we will try to make the best of the situation.
We are very close to finalizing our plans for the winter season. We are waiting on a decision regarding the schedule and once we get that approval, we will go full steam ahead with our plans. If all goes well, we will have the most unique experience we have ever had...
