Of course, all of the attention and discussions this week will be about the upcoming eclipse. Just about everybody is expecting a huge crowd and gridlock in a town that already is overflowing with folks on vacation. We are now enjoying our final break before the big day next Monday. Our task is to make sure we have everything we need to get us through this period as travel in and around town will be tough.
Our activities for our days off include working on more details for our winter schedule. There is plenty of time to complete the arrangements but there are a couple of items that need approval by management. It will all become clear very soon.
One of the items that we need to take care of today or tomorrow is to give the truck some driving time. We have not used the truck at all except for short trips to the store or post office to give it some activity. It is ready for anything and everything as we gassed up several weeks ago. The price of fuel has risen since then as - in this area - prices of everything are rising as a result of the expected increase in population for the eclipse.
Actually, we will be very happy to see the eclipse be done so that we can get back to normal...
