One more note on the situation in Texas with Hurricane Harvey. It appears now that the storm will remain in the area for at least a few more days and will go out to sea and back again for a third landfall. There has already been 30-35 inches of rain in the Port Lavaca area and it isn't over yet. It is just mind boggling to think about so much rain in such a short time. Horrible.
Our friends and coworkers - John and Vicki Tate - will be heading back to Sun City, AZ, tomorrow AM. We said our goodbyes yesterday afternoon as we left for our weekend. It will be more difficult working the rest of the way this season without them. We have enough people to cover the shifts, but the level of knowledge and work ethic will not be the same. We have worked in tougher situations, so we are ready for the final push.
We have no specific plans for our two days off, but will most likely include a drive somewhere. The weather appears to be holding in a "clear" mode, so it should be nice for the entire two days. The days are getting shorter and the mornings are getting cooler. That means that the trees and foliage will be turning their fall colors anytime now. That should make for some very nice drives within the next couple weeks. This is a special time in this area and we always look forward to the Fall changes...
