We woke up to rain in the morning yesterday and most of the day was just dreary and drizzly. Then the heavy rain (.72") came followed by winds. The high was only 57 degrees and we had wind gusts up to 41 MPH. It was blowing so hard we had some interruptions in our satellite TV. This is the first time that our signal has been interrupted since we got the dish. The wind was strong and relentless. It blew the rest of the day and all night. I see that we had another gust of 41 MPH during the night as the wind continues and is still blowing as I write this post. The sun is out this morning, so that is good news. The forecast is for another storm by Thursday - the day we are scheduled to leave. I will start packing as much as I can in the basement today, so that the next storm doesn't create a problem for us.
Our schedule today has changed slightly. Originally, we were supposed to go to Santee, CA., where we were to visit with a Workamping Coordinator at the Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve. It was just a "get to know you" kind of visit for possible future opportunities. Because the trip involved going through the mountains - where they had heavy snowfall yesterday - we decided to reschedule the visit to another time. We will most likely stay close to home today and try to get organized for Thursday's move. Until tomorrow...
