Ready to Go Back to Work

We spent a quiet day at home while Josie did some laundry and I nursed my cold. I drank lots of water and had plenty of rest, including almost 11 hours of sleep last night. I feel like the cold is under control and all I have is a little bit of congestion at this point. There is no fever, so that is a good sign.

The first day of our weekend (Wednesday), our manager indicated that he had a question for us and to give him a call when we had a chance.  We made the connection early on the Fourth before leaving for the parade. He wanted to know if we would be interested in transferring to one of our other Visitor Centers in order to get a better site and to get more hours. We have mentioned before that there are too many employees at our location and he wanted to give us first choice of the different location. The problem is that the location has very limited services (internet) and is the Center that is farthest north and quite a ways away from Jackson. Although it is a beautiful location, we rejected the offer.

Our work day begins at 1 PM today and we close the Center tonight at 7 PM. We have 4 work days before we get another break....
