More Secure

The locksmith we hired to re-key all our door locks was on time yesterday morning. It took him less than an hour to change the locks, reprogram our garage remotes, install a padlock on our gate and give us new keys for the whole house. Now, we feel more secure knowing that if there any keys out there from previous tenants, it doesn't matter. We were lucky that there were no incidents between the time we moved into our home until now.

We also went to Moon Valley Nursery to finalize our tree purchase. Josie was OK with the Majestic Ash and we will have it planted next Wednesday. The only concern we had about the tree was whether or not it would grow too large for the area where we are planting it. We were assured by the nursery "expert" that the tree will be fine for the area where it will be planted. One thing That Josie and I both agreed on was that Moon Valley has raised their prices over the years to where they are almost greedy. We have purchased lots of plants and trees from them over the years and this was an expensive experience. In addition to raising their tree prices, they have raised the delivery cost and warranty costs, plus they charge $30 for staking the tree. A $400 tree now costs $600 with the extra costs.

The afternoon was taken up with a trip to Costco to buy water and a few other items. Now, we need to tighten the belt and conserve for the rest of this week so we will have enough money for the rest of the month. Maybe one of the lottery tickets we bought last night will remove any concerns about where money is coming from...
