Holiday Choices

I did a search of all Arizona activities and events that are being held this holiday weekend. There are a bunch! The question is, how far do we want to travel and how much do we want to spend. One thing I was able to eliminate, fortunately, was staying overnight anyplace since all of the activities we are interested in have totally booked hotels nearby. That's what happens when you wait until the last minute to go someplace.

We have narrowed our choices to a couple of fun events - The Coconino County Fair in Flagstaff or the Faire on the Square in Prescott (Arts and Crafts show at the Courthouse Plaza). They both seem like fun activities but we will probably go to the Fair in Flagstaff. Maybe, we will end up going to both on different days this weekend. The main thing for us is how the weather will be since both are outdoor activities. Stay tuned to find out how it all shakes out.

What ever we do this weekend, Josie has been suffering with her painful leg and we will have go slowly where there is a lot of walking involved. We wish we are able to find a solution for her problem as it makes her work-days almost unbearable. It seems that medications are only partially effective and we haven't found the right combination of medications to do the job. It appears to be a combination of nerve damage and arthritis. Eventually, we hope to find the right combination to relieve her agony.

With two days left of the holiday weekend, we hope everybody gets out and enjoys the final days of summer...
