As the rains kept coming down yesterday morning it became obvious that it wouldn't be a good day to travel anywhere. Today is the same with the rain still coming down and no let-up in sight.
Josie did some laundry and I did some computer work in the late morning, and we hung out and watched TV in the afternoon while watching about an inch of rain fall. We have had over 1.5 inches in the last two days and today's rain will just add to that total. In fact, last night at bedtime we had some serious thunder and lightening. The rain has brought very low hanging clouds and we believe the pass road would have very poor visibility which makes it even more treacherous than normal. We'll do the Idaho trip another day.
We pulled the trigger on Wednesday and ordered a new computer for Josie - her first. She has been struggling with the performance issues on my old computer for a long time now, and she has gained enough confidence using computers that she should have her own. It is an HP Chromebook14 that is scheduled to arrive today before 4:30 PM. I did a lot of research before ordering this one, and she does mostly web surfing, Facebook, games, email and some photo organizing, so this should be a perfect fit. Coupled with the nice smartphone she has - the Samsung S4 - she should be set to go for a long time.
Our final day off this week - today - is shaping up to be similar to yesterday without the laundry activity. No matter what we do, it will be a relaxing day and is the first full weekend off at home that we have had in the last three weeks...
