Probably, the most significant event to relate is the upcoming storm expected to arrive today. Phoenix (Sky Harbor Airport) has not had measurable rain for over two months. We have had some light showers here, but not much to talk about until today. The forecast indicates there may be as much as 2 inches of rain in some local areas and lots of snow up north. Since we are on the northern edge of Phoenix, and the storm is producing more moisture in the NW of AZ, we expect to get more rainfall than the city.
I just hope it holds off long enough for us to get our shed assembled and all set up today. Once the rain starts, it is predicted to last at least through Saturday. I received a confirmation phone call for the shed delivery, scheduled between 9 AM and noon today. Amazon has not missed a scheduled delivery since I started buying from them a couple years ago, so I'm sure it will happen.
The importance of setting up the shed before the storm arrives cannot be overemphasized. We brought home several containers of Christmas decorations and other items from our storage unit that we have temporarily stored under the fifth wheel. They will almost certainly get wet if the storm is as heavy as predicted. Oh well, whatever happens, happens, and is out of our control.
Josie is back to work this morning for what should have been her final day of the week. With the holiday next week, she will be working Friday and Saturday this week as extra days. It's a good thing she loves doing what she is doing...
