It didn't take too long to research the best buy in tickets for The Nutcracker which is performed each year by the Phoenix Symphony at the Ballet in town. The best buy was through Ticketmaster which offered a senior discount and the ability to print my tickets right away. We have great seats - in row 14, center stage - and the tickets didn't break the bank. It's too bad that we couldn't go to the Andrea Bocelli concert on the same day, but we saved a trip to Fort Knox in order to do both. We're looking forward to December 8 when we will attend the show.
We escaped the lousy weather that was all around us yesterday. There was wind, dust and rain that seemed to be in nearby areas. The threat isn't over yet, but at least we missed the main front that went through yesterday. Our high was only 78 and the highest wind gust that we recorded was only 16 mph.
The big item on today's agenda is the oil change for the truck. We will take it to Sanderson Ford in Glendale which is where we purchased the truck back in October of 2007 and like to go for service. They have what is called a "Quick Lane" where you can take your vehicle without an appointment and they are open on Saturdays. Hopefully, the wait won't be too long and we will be set for another 6500 or so miles.
Since we are getting ready to leave for the dealership shortly, I'll end this entry. Josie is now off until Monday, so we will try to schedule some interesting stuff for the weekend...
