First of all, we seem to have the small flies problem under control. There were only a few more lingering in the fifth wheel last night but they are probably going to be around for another few days until we can get rid of all of them. What a nuisance.
We are always on the lookout for housing options. Even though we are pretty much set against investing in another home, we still like to keep up with options that are available in the various retirement communities across the country. Patty had recently gone to the Villages in Ocala, FL to visit with friends and she sent us a lot of info on that community which lies about an hour north of Orlando in north central Florida. It has been around for years and is the community that you probably have seen Arnold Palmer and Nancy Lopez (former pro golfers) push on TV all the time. It is also one of the largest and finest retirement communities in the country. We read through all the info from Patty and even found some good info online and from another friend that has relatives living there. Although much larger, it is similar to our retirement communities here in AZ and is probably comparable in costs to live there. We would still probably lean toward Sun City Grand, AZ, as our favorite, based on cost of living and location. The Villages might be a bit too far north in FL to suit us, but would be a winner if we were to consider FL living as an option. We are really opposed to any location east of the Rockies as a permanent location based on weather considerations.
We broke through the 70 degrees barrier yesterday and it will continue to get warmer through tomorrow. It is close to Turkey Day - one more day - and Josie will work her last day of this week today. She will then have 4 days to enjoy before going back to work on Monday. Next on the schedule will be finishing up the Christmas decorations which we will do on the weekend...
