Following a week of very strenuous outside work, it was nice to spend a day just hanging out doing nothing. I watched the WMU football game against Eastern Michigan University (EMU) that started around noon our time. Josie went to the nails place to get a manicure and pedicure that she has wanted for months.
Austin's team had a bye last weekend, so I expected his team to be energized and ready to kick some butt. They played well for almost the entire game. They led 29-21 with less than a minute left in the game. EMU scored a touchdown and then was successful with a two point conversion to tie the game at 29 with just seconds remaining. The game went into overtime, and they lost 35-32. It's a shame that their defense tired and gave up some big plays to EMU. I'm sure it was an exceptionally long 4.5 hour drive home for Patty and Mark. There are only two more games left in the season, and I'm sure that Austin is already looking forward to next year.
The sunrise this morning was especially pretty outside our window to start the day:
We talked about making our first trip today to our storage unit since we arrived here. We will pick up some Christmas decorations and say hello to all our goods that are stored there. We also talked about taking a long bike ride but that will most likely happen on another day. We are really enjoying our outside area now, so whatever we do, it will be complemented by some quality time in our gazebo...
