Short Work Day

We thought that perhaps Josie would be working later yesterday because of the holiday. Wrong. She was sent home early along with another worker to get a head start on the holiday weekend. Business has not been what it used to be before the economical downturn. It was around 12:30 when she called to say she was on her way home.

Most of the afternoon was spent at the shopping center down the road where we went to Albertson's to stock up on some much needed groceries and to get a treat at the TCBY Yogurt shop that is there. It has become our substitute for DQ which is not as close to our area.

It became an afternoon of relaxation as we watched some recorded shows and did some more work on our craft projects. The sunset was again beautiful and here is a - what seems to be an almost daily occurrence - shot of the sunset at about 5:45 last night:

We never get tired of seeing that pretty view each night.

As Thanksgiving Day has arrived, we are looking forward to a nice dinner and good time at Brian and Amy's house today. The shopping season is in full swing and we get a laugh every time we see the "campers" who have been sitting outside some local stores, waiting for the sales to start today. It's hard to believe that people don't value their time any more than a $50 savings on an item they can't live without. Some people have been camped out in front of stores for several days. Whatever. :)

Enjoy the day everybody...

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
