We aren't sure if the weather played a role in what we experienced last night, but we were inundated with what looks like fruit flies. It was tough watching TV last night while swatting these pests and it seemed the more we killed, the more showed up out of nowhere. We don't have any kind of pesticide to use against them - yet - but if the problem continues, we will probably "bomb" the fifth wheel to get rid of all that are left. The only conclusion we can make is that, somehow, the wet weather drove them in through cracks in the slideouts. There isn't any fruit sitting on the counter and the fruit we have in the frig wouldn't create this problem. We've never experienced this kind of invasion before, so I'm sure we will figure it out.
Thanksgiving is just around the corner - two days away - and we are excited about having dinner with everybody at Brian and Amy's house. Debby will be there visiting from CA and it's been been a long time since we last saw her and her kids. It should be a fun day.
Josie is plugging away at work and the volume of orders is growing. She sometimes gets frustrated with some of the procedures, but she is particular about how fresh flowers should be handled. I guess that once you have had your own floral business, it is tough to do things a different way. No matter what, she enjoys her job and the people she works with at the stores.
The temperatures are on their way up - 63 yesterday - and we will see the 70's again by Thanksgiving. It's nice to see the weather come back to Arizona "normal"...
