Sitting Out

Just as we had planned the day, we did mostly nothing but sitting out in the sun and reading our magazines and books. It was a little cool most of the day - temps in the high 60's - so we had to sit in the sun for the most part:

Today is expected to be lots warmer so it shouldn't matter where we sit. We need to leave a bit earlier today so that we can get some things done at the apartment before we start work again tomorrow. So, instead of staying until around 5 PM, we will probably leave around 1 or 2 to make sure we have time left to do everything.

We sent an email to the couple in Florida that was responsible for our finding this job - Tee and Larry - and they are feeling exactly as we feel - if it weren't for the insurance and benefits, they would be gone! The sales is just as intense where they are and they have the same conference calls and meetings that waste time and take away from caring for the residents. They have some health issues that when they are fixed, they will be finding other jobs.

This company has to learn the hard way. They are constantly advertising and hiring managers because of the high turnover. If they would just realize that it will never change with the pressure they place on us they would get some seniority from managers and save lots of money in the process.

Oh, well. We will just keep plodding along, one day at a time and just enjoy our days off...
