It was such a joy to be relaxing in our fifth wheel at the campground yesterday. It was really tough getting things together to leave yesterday afternoon. We got our storage spot at the Preserve and backed the rig into the space at around 3:30 PM. We did nothing except walk around the campground, stop in the store for an ice cream treat and then sit in our loungers outside for the whole day. This will be a welcome change from the stress and pace of working all week. Without knowing our exact schedule at Bridgecreek, we think we will be back to the campground on our days off on Sunday and Monday of next week.
The last 2 days were a good reminder of the way we feel when we are camping and traveling in our fifth wheel. We looked at each other when it was time to leave and we asked if we really wanted to go back to work at Holiday Retirement or go back to our workamping lifestyle. It is definitely food for thought.
We arrived home again at 5 PM and started preparations for our week away beginning tomorrow afternoon.
Our schedule today will be from 11 AM until sometime in the afternoon - probably around 3 PM, when we will leave for West Covina. We would like to arrive there in time to visit with the managers to discuss our schedule and duties for the next week. We also need to get settled into our temporary living quarters for the next week.
These next 3 weeks will be a real test for us as far as determining whether we want to continue under this new format or move on to a less stressful mode of living...
