Camping and Work

We had a nice, leisurely morning yesterday at the campground. The paper was delivered at around 8:00 and we watched the Today show while having coffee and a big breakfast. The fact that we didn't start work until 11 AM gave us plenty of time to enjoy the morning before heading out shortly after 9 AM.

Our arrival at the apartment at 10 AM still gave us lots of time to get changed and ready for work. It was a typical day at work with all six managers bumping into each other in the office. We don't see any way that we all can be working at the same time, especially when it's meal time and all six of us hang out at the same table which is only suited for four comfortably. It's a good thing that we will be getting assignments away from the "jam" occasionally.

There were no ecalls last night and we had restful sleep to prepare us for our last day of work today which ends at 3 PM. Following work, it's off to Menifee once again for our free time which we always look forward to. This time though, we expect beautiful weather the whole time through Saturday.

There are several chores that we have lined up for the fifth wheel. I need to fix several items - new light bulbs, re-hanging a couple curtains, repairing a faucet and washing the outside among other small projects. Josie still has some closet organizing to do so we will have lots to do to occupy our spare time. The main thing is to get some quality time outside to take advantage of the weather. It will be in the 80's each day, with clear skies.

It's been almost 4 months now since we started at Holiday Retirement. There have been times that we felt like calling it quits, but we are focused on our goal to make it work for at least one year...
