More Lousy Weather

Even though the day started like it was going to be nice, it became cloudy and breezy and was another day we couldn't enjoy the outdoors. Our 2 days off became 2 days similar to what we would expect somewhere up north where the winters last forever. It's the roll of the dice, I guess. The forecast now is for the next 5 days to be sunny and warm - sure, we have to work the next 5 days.

We tried to stretch the day as best we could. Josie did some reorganizing of closets and I sat and read the paper and watched TV. There were several shows we taped while parked at the Happy Trails campground in January and haven't seen because we had to go to training for 2 weeks of that month. We had also taped lots of movies and we got caught up on a couple of those.

It was close to 5 PM by the time we packed up and moved the rig back into the storage space. We arrived back at West Covina at 6 PM and went into the office to chat with the managers about the next 2 days we will be working solo. It is a bit different here as our schedule involves working some time on our day off. We had to do the closing last night and had ecall duty all night. Fortunately, it was a quiet night.

We still have not heard anything about our next assignment. If we don't hear anything by tomorrow, we will send an email to the Regional Director to get some idea of what our schedule will be for the next 2 weeks or so. The jury is still out on whether this "floating" phase of our job is going to work out for us...

  1. Hi guys My it seems like you are going from one venture to another. Hope you find out soon what your next assignment holds for you. We are doing well but do not have reg internet connection so we sorta feel out of the loop not being able to get it on a reg basis. This will be quick as I just wanted to catch up on your blog and say hi. I will try to get online this week and catch you up on our travels and daily comings and goings in ME. Sending love n hugs and reminders we think of you often.
