Rainy Day

There wasn't much planned for yesterday and since it rained most of the day, it was a good thing. We went to the Best Buy in Oceanside to have my computer CD-ROM drive checked and found that it is working properly and that the disk I had from Turbo Tax was bad. I called Intuit and they downloaded the software to my computer so that problem is fixed.

We have not had a key that has worked in our rear patio door since we moved in and that was also fixed. Our maintenance manager, Garry, took the locks off and had them re-keyed to fit our master key. Now we can arrive home from somewhere and not go through the lobby to open our front door to get in. It has been a nuisance to do it that way, but Garry has had a lot of higher priority stuff to fix at the community.

The rain lasted most of the day and it was chilly to boot. Even this area gets its share of some lousy weather at times. It is still better than many other locations where they are getting winter snows and very cold temperatures. The sun is shining this morning so at least it doesn't last long.

I have another follow up appointment with the Audiologist this morning before starting work at 11 AM. They will perform some more fine tuning on my new hearing aids but the realization is setting in that I will never be able to hear normally in certain situations. We'll just do the best we can and take it from there...
