It Does Rain in Southern CA

Just when I brag about the beautiful weather, we get a couple days of overcast and wet weather. It rained pretty hard at times yesterday and we didn't see much sun at all for the first time since we arrived here. There was more rain overnight and the forecast is for scattered showers today. That's not all bad except that the temperatures are much cooler than before. We were in the 50's yesterday and it will not get much warmer today. I finally did the rest of the work in the apartment - hanging the new (curved) shower curtain rod, putting in the paper towel holder and cleaning up around the desk area.

My appointment (4 PM) at the Audiologist was rescheduled to this morning. Evidently, she had some changes in her schedule so I have to go this morning before going to work at 11 AM. There should be plenty of time to get fitted and to fine tune the new hearing aids. I am hoping that they help in some of the situations I was struggling to hear clearly in the past. It's a major investment, but after over five years with the old set, I was due for a new pair.

It's back to work today and we are looking at some long hours over the next 5 days. Actually, there aren't any long hours until Friday and Saturday when Charlie and Terri have their days off. Those are the 2 days a week we have to solo from 8 AM until 8 PM, plus handle the on call duties overnight. We'll see how we like the new schedule after this week.
