Josie found out that she had Saturday through Monday off this weekend so we made our plans for the final weekend in 2017. The plan is now to leave early Saturday morning and drive to Tombstone. That is a place we visited many years ago and still talk about as one of our favorites. It isn't a big town - only about 2K people - but it is one of the remaining, truly western towns in the state. It is also listed as one of the best small towns in Arizona to live.
As expected, the flower shop was totally dead yesterday. It isn't expected to get too busy at any time before the first of the year either. This is a time when most businesses experience some down time as we approach the new year. Vacations have a lot to do with that as this is a popular week for employees to take time to spend with families. The schedule for football games also isn't too shabby this week. There are some great matchups in the bowl games and the NFL has several playoff spots up for grabs. I expect to watch some of those games, and tape some others.
It's shaping up to be a nice finish to 2017...
