Echo Dot

This past Monday was Green Monday and a time when many great deals could be available for the final time before Christmas. I saw that Amazon was offering their popular "Echo Dot" for only $29.99 which is 40% off. I ordered one for us for Christmas and it arrived yesterday. What a terrific device. It is connected through your phone and the internet which allows you to do almost anything by asking "Alexa" to perform the task, hands free. I set it up and have only begun to see the real effectiveness of this powerful device. No more searching the internet on our computer or on the phone to find answers to any question. Alexa will do it, instantly. There's so much more that we will be discovering as we become more familiar with its capabilities. It's worth checking out.

Josie is off today for the final time until Christmas Eve. It will be a day of catching up on final Christmas duties such as mailing gifts and cards. Yes, I know it's late for that, but we have been busy doing other chores in the limited time off together. When Josie gets home from work, it is usually time to just relax, have dinner, watch a little TV and go to bed.

We have scheduled a dinner with George and Cheryl for Saturday night the 23rd. By that time, we are hoping that things will be enough under control at the flowers shop that she will be able to leave a bit early. That would be the day before we head to Laughlin and her final full day, so it should be a nice start to Christmas...
