As we still don't know what option we will pursue regarding the housing issue, we are proceeding to get a letter from our mortgage company that pre-approves us for another mortgage. That would last us for 90 days which should be enough time for us to figure out the direction we will take and make an offer on a home if that is the solution. Our mortgage company will be sending us that letter this week.
January is suppose to be the start of the best time to list and sell property. We will give it a test. Our hope is that the market is near what it was when we purchased the home in early 2015. Our house didn't last more than one day on the market when we purchased, and there wasn't even time to install a sign on the property when we made our accepted offer. A repeat would be wonderful.
We are getting some nice listings from Realtor.com along with listings from our property manager. It is going to be a difficult decision for us. Whatever we decide, it will not be a permanent arrangement as we plan to move close to Patty and her family when they relocate here from Illinois in a couple of years. We hope all that comes together and we can be close again...
