Golfing Slowdown

It appears that the rule of staying on the cart paths with motorized carts has impacted the volume of play on the course. After the reseeding effort which was completed on November 10 when the course reopened for play, the rules for play require that no carts cross the fairway or ride on the new grass for two weeks. I see a lot more folks playing with hand carts and, overall, less play each day. I'm sure it will pick up again after November 20 when the carts are once again allowed on the course. The course is in fine shape and the reseeding looks like it was successful.

Today will be Josie's final work day this week and she has off until Monday. Then, it is only two more work days before our trip to Chicago for the holiday. She says that the volume of business is picking up and she is very busy everyday leading up to the final days before Thanksgiving. Of course, much of the business is for center pieces, and she has been "greening" lots of containers in anticipation of the flurry of business for those.

The Seahawks will play the Packers on Thursday Night Football tonight. That should be an excellent game...
