Beating the Storm

The primary goal for the day yesterday was to beat the anticipated storm. We left the house early - before 8 AM - and drove to the airport exit in near record time. That is where the unbelievable backup started. We had crawling traffic for the final mile or so to the departure area at the terminal. These shots give a good example of the delays:

Fortunately, we still arrived at the gate in plenty of time.

Our flight left on schedule and except for a couple "bumpy" areas, had an excellent flight that arrived in Phoenix a bit early. We were back home by 3 PM.

All was well in the home and we even found one more golf ball in our back yard. That makes 16 balls discovered in the 6 months we have lived here:

Almost all of them are quality golf balls. Not a bad way to stock up.

Today is the "big day" for finally moving our fifth wheel into the Sun City RV Storage facility. I hope it all goes well, as I have been ready for this since the middle of May...
