One Week Down

Here is a brief summary of our first week of the new season.

Our new manager, Angelica, is a very good manager and people person. Our first week was more of a familiarization with the Visitor Center and learning new procedures in some areas from last season. The training was much more intense from last season and lasted for 1 1/2 days versus less than a day last season. Our new RV space is very different from last year, and the jury is still out on whether or not it will be better than our space last season. We do miss the extra privacy and animals from the site at the Gros Ventre Campground, but we are enjoying the convenience and less commute time from the Elk Refuge site. The people we are working with this season are very nice, but we are short a couple folks now that will be required for the long haul this season. Right now, we are being worked harder than normal and the stress level is elevated as a result. We believe it will all work out and we will have a successful season.

This morning, we are having breakfast with two friends from the Virginian Lodge. The restaurant will be The Bunnery, and we will meet them at around 7:30 AM. I will (hopefully) get some shots of our first visit in two years with them.

Have a great Memorial Day everybody...
