Good First Day Travel

Our departure from Pioneer RV Park occurred at 8:30 yesterday morning following goodbyes to our neighbor, Peter, who left at the same time to travel to Maine to spend the summer with his brother. It was an uneventful drive all the way to within 5 miles of our destination when we were stopped - for a half hour - for a construction delay. We still arrived at 2 PM and checked in to our site that is not far from the office or the Lake. Our views are terrific, our site is great and we are here for another day today. The only problem, so far, is that I cannot get my photos downloaded to the blog as a result of the slow data transfers. I will post them when I can.

Our plan is to see some of the nice areas that exist around Lake Powell. We will take a short hike to see the Horseshoe Bend and another short drive to the Glen Canyon Dam and other neat attractions in the area. We could probably spend another day or two to see more of what we would like to see in this area. It will be a nice day with lots of sunshine and plenty of exercise...
