Set to Go to Texas

Our room reservations are made for our rip to the Cotton Bowl in Arlington, TX. We will be staying at the TownePlace Suites near Six Flags in Arlington. With arrival on Dec 29th and departure on Jan 3rd, it will be a terrific trip. I'm sure there will be many events and activities surrounding the Cotton Bowl, and we will be going to as many as we can while there. It will surely be a trip to remember.

Awards are flowing in for the Broncos. Among the key awards is the Campbell Trophy which is the Heisman Trophy equivalent for scholastic college athletes which was awarded to Zach Terrell, the Broncos Quarterback. PJ Fleck, the coach, is a finalist for the Eddie Robinson Award which goes to the college football coach of the year. The rumors are flying that coach Fleck may not be coaching at the Cotton Bowl game if he accepts a coaching position at another University - Oregon is at the top of those rumors. There will most likely be more news and more awards between now and the game which will be played on Jan 2.

I will also be following all of the developments in the pro football standings as the Seahawks and the Cardinals battle for playoff spots. Right now, it looks like the Seahawks are almost a guarantee while the Cardinals need to win the rest of their games to make the playoffs. This is a very exciting year for football - college and pro - and it sure is fun following the developments...
