Floating Away

As mentioned yesterday, the rains came and came in a big way. There were moments when you could barely see the street outside because it was raining so hard. I went out to do an errand as soon as it slowed enough to get to the truck and drive. These shots are an indication of how it was in the Pioneer RV Park following the heaviest period of rain:

The water eventually ran off, but it sure was a different scene from what we are used to seeing. It is not very often that the rains come so hard for so long. I'm sure that the Monsoon rains create the same scene in the summer while we are gone.

Just two more days before Josie gets some relief from her Christmas rush at work. Every year we say it will be different for next year, but we keep falling into the same trap of the busy holiday seasons at the flower shops. Maybe someday in the not too distant future we will completely retire from this kind of work and enjoy the holidays with a lot more free time...
