Yesterday was more of a relaxing and adjusting to the marathon day we had on Wednesday. There was a trip to a unique grocery store - Mariano's - where Patty had to get her ingredients for the chili she is making (today) for the "tailgating" competition on Saturday at the football game. The store is a specialty store, similar to AJ's in AZ, but a lot more. There are all kinds of "bars" located throughout the store where you can sample items and decide from several choices. They even had a grill where they would prepare the meat that you purchased - for free. It is quite a store.
Of course, last night we watched the Bears play the Packers on Thursday Night Football and the Cubs beat the LA Dodgers to get within one win of the World Series. It was a very good day to get ready for the days ahead where we will be going to the twins' final high school football game of the season - tonight - and to a great, new hamburger restaurant in town for a late lunch before the game.
We are getting close to our weekend trip to Kalamazoo for the big game. Bring it on!!
