Progress Made

The huge amount of boxes around the house took another hit yesterday as I emptied all the book boxes and some of the other boxes that contained office materials. We are still surrounded by too many boxes in our bedroom and in the living area. There will be a definite consolidation of goods once this is all over and we can get everything put away for now. There are many items we can part with, but now is not the time for sorting. This is the time for clearing out the clutter and finding any place to keep it temporarily.

I picked up a sun shade yesterday for the back patio where the afternoon sun is baking our outdoor furniture and fading the colors. Until the sun works its way south again, we will have the sun problem on our rear patio. I figure another two months and that will not be a problem for the rest of the year until next Spring.

We have two full days together now to make more major strides in settling in and getting the major part of the remaining boxes emptied.

This year, we will have a very different celebration for the Fourth of July. The last three years we went to the breakfast in Jackson sponsored by the Jaycees of Jackson and then to the parade, followed by viewing the fireworks from the rear of our fifth wheel at night. Of course we will miss that, but getting settled in our new home is also exciting...
