Gas Line Connected

The main activity for yesterday was to get the gas line connected to the meter, the gas turned on and the range all connected and ready to use. Success. The only problem with all of that was that there was no 110 electric outlet behind the range to plug in the new one. There was only the 220 line that the electric range used. That was something that none of us realized until it was time to install the new range. Anyway, we connected it to the nearest outlet on the counter until their maintenance folks can come out and install a new outlet for the range. Here is a shot of the new range - and the microwave that was installed weeks ago - with the temporary line (in red) connected to the unit:

We expect the new outlet to be installed early next week.

I did lots of organizing in the den yesterday and was able to eliminate the rest of the boxes that were sitting there. The house is really looking good at this point and there are only my boxes of clothes in the master bedroom that need to be emptied and I hope to get to those today. Josie has done most of the bedroom organizing while I worked in the den.  Of course, we still have the garage that has not been touched yet but who wants to work in 100 plus degree temperatures to do anything there. We'll tackle that one a little bit at a time...
