Assembly Mode

Along with the boxes we have to empty containing our stored goods and other possessions, I have several projects that need assembly. I started on those yesterday. The first one was a cabinet arrangement for the bathroom that took a good part of the day. The instructions were less than clear and it took awhile to interpret much of them. To make matters worse, some of the parts were not labeled and I had to figure out where and how they went together. I hope the other items aren't that difficult. I have a couple book cases to hold our movies and Cd's  that I will tackle today and we also have a TV wall rack that needs to be hung on the wall and we also acquired a basic treadmill that needs to be assembled. Thank goodness Josie will have off tomorrow and Thursday to help with the rest of the chores.

The security components were installed yesterday and we went with Envision Security which is a locally owned company and one that is recommended by Angie's List and has very high reviews. We think we will be happy with that choice for our security needs.

Our trip to Jackson is finalized and we will be leaving on July 19 and returning on July 27. It's only a week, but a week we need to come down from all the stress we have been under the last several months with this house. It should be a fun and relaxing time.

We expect to have our gas line installed today for the new gas range and also installing a drop for a future gas dryer. That wraps up all the major acquisitions for the house and puts us in a position to have to replenish all the funds we expended for the house. It will take some time, but we feel that we made a good investment with this house...
