Tenth Anniversary of 9/11

The biggest event yesterday wasn't working or reporting the weather, but revisiting the events of the terrorist attack on 9/11/01. It's hard to believe that it has been 10 years since that dreadful day, and just like the assassination of President Kennedy, we all remember exactly where we were and what we were doing when the event occurred. That is, those of us that are old enough to have been a witness to both events. Of course, we were at work while all the TV coverage of the 10th anniversary was taking place, but we recorded the specials on TV and watched them last night after we got home. The sadness is difficult to watch each year on these anniversaries, but the new memorials that were built at these actual event locations of 9/11 are spectacular and appropriate for the bravery that was displayed by these victims on that day. They were right when they made the statement - repeatedly - that our lives were changed forever as a result of these attacks. We try to place ourselves in the shoes of these victims and wonder if we would have responded the same way they did while the attacks were taking place. It was a truly unifying event that brought us all together to fight the inhuman evil that exists in this world.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!
