Summer is Back

It didn't take long to heat up again once the storms went through. Yesterday was 82 for a high and even though we had .01" of rain sometime during the night, it was basically a sunny day. More people arrived at the campground and it is rapidly filling up. We notice the difference in the response times on the free wi-fi network they have for the campers. We have been using that network but may have to go back to our Verizon card to be able to get better response. Our Verizon card is also a secure network vs the "open" network at the campground. With so many people in the campground now, it is probably better to use our secure network anyway -  especially when making purchases online or having to access our private accounts. There are always "hackers" lurking in today's world and we don't need those problems.

The heat was felt in the Amazon warehouse yesterday. I was assigned to stow on the 4th floor in an area and was sweating all day. Josie didn't feel the heat as much as she was in a 1st floor area, but could still tell it was warming up inside. We hope there aren't many more of those days ahead.

Day 3 of the work week is today and we are now leaning toward taking our full time off instead of working any OT. Both of us were very tired last night and, in fact, the alarm had to wake us up this morning when usually I am already awake before the alarm sounds and I shut it off. I was reading yesterday that people accumulate sleep "debt" when they don't get enough rest and you can't remove that debt unless you have at least several nights of required rest. One night doesn't eliminate the shortfall. The only way for us to catch up is to get the extra night's rest on our days off. One more day to go for this week...
