Dry Run to Palm Springs Florist

The main thing we wanted to accomplish today was to take a dry run to Palm Springs Florist before Josie starts work on Friday. We left fairly late in the morning as she had to finish up on packages and cards to mail at the post office while on the way. It will be about a 20 minute drive for her, mostly on I-10, which is not bad at all. The mileage is about 15 miles. The other thing we wanted to do was see where the church was that we will be attending while staying here. Since I have to work on Sundays - at least starting out - we don't know how often we can go but needed to check it out anyway. At least we will be going on Christmas Eve.

Today is a "get ready for working" day. Josie has to get her nails done and we will probably go to Kohls to see if she can get a couple shirts for work. We are used to getting uniform shirts for work so this time she needs to wear her own. I get a shirt and hat for work on my job, but I still need to get brown jeans and brown shoes to wear. I don't know how important the brown shoes are, because I already have enough shoes and don't especially want another pair. Anyway, it is down to one last day to relax before working.

We are really enjoying the convenience of everything so far. The last seven months have been spent in fairly remote areas and required at least a 50 mile round trip for most things. We will really see the savings in gas. Until tomorrow...
